That's supposed to be a fake Adrian ponytail attached to the super slusher in the last panel.

When I was going to college in Plattsburgh, NY, the first major snowfall of the year would result in a campus-wide snowball fight. One guy I knew modified a super soaker to handle slush by boaring out the barrel and using larger hoses.
