Otakon 2002 was my first time at an anime convention. Needless to say, I was blown away by the number of people there and things to do and/or see.

For the most part, the three sketches speak for themselves. The lines WERE long, especially for anything Megatokyo related. Anson DID get down on his knees and worship Ian McConville of MacHall. And Anson DID go neko.

In my defense, I only went Neko to shut Mark up, because he kept badgering me. As for Ian and Matt, I was naive in thinking I could get them to even look at our comic. They did, 2 years later, when we were “guests” at ConnectiCon in 2004. Otakon became one of my favorite things to do in the summer, and with the exception of 2005 when I opted to fly to CT for ConnectiCon, I have been going ever since. And I will be there this year as well.
